Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Dhikr app ("Dhikr", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. Dhikr is operated by Endpoint Technology LLC. We've built Dhikr to be private by design: it works without an account, and your dhikr stays yours.
The short version
- You don't create an account, and we don't collect your email or phone number. The first name you can share during setup is used for greetings inside the app; it stays on your device and in your private iCloud.
- Your dhikr counts, streaks, and settings live on your device and back up to your own private iCloud. We can't see them.
- We use privacy-respecting analytics and crash reporting to improve the app.
- We never sell your personal data.
Information stored on your device
Your dhikr history, goals, streaks, achievements, dedications, themes, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, this data is backed up to your private iCloud (via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage) so it syncs to your other devices. This data is controlled by your Apple Account; we do not have access to it.
Information processed by third parties
Analytics & crash reporting
We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes. This covers app usage events: which screens are opened, how far people get through setup, and counting activity (such as which dhikr a completed session used and its count). Your setup answers (including anything you tell us about your own practice) stay on your device and are never sent to analytics. It also never includes your name or the names of people you dedicate dhikr to. This data is pseudonymous (it is not tied to your identity) and helps us improve Dhikr.
Marketing attribution
If you arrived at Dhikr through an advertisement, we use AppsFlyer to measure which campaign brought you here, so we know our marketing is working. Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only with your consent through the App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, no cross-app tracking identifier is used. Aggregate, privacy-preserving campaign measurement (Apple's SKAdNetwork) and a device identifier scoped to this app (IDFV) may still be used to count installs per campaign. Neither reveals your identity or your dhikr activity.
Subscriptions & payments
Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify your subscription status on our behalf. We never receive or store your payment card details.
How information is used
- To provide and improve the app's features.
- To measure performance, fix crashes, and understand usage trends.
- To measure the effectiveness of our marketing (only with your consent).
- To manage your subscription.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information is processed only by the service providers named above, each under their own privacy policies: Apple, Google Firebase, AppsFlyer, and RevenueCat.
Children
Dhikr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- You can decline tracking at the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- You can reset all of your data from within the app (Settings → Reset All Data).
- You control your iCloud backup through your device's iCloud settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to know what we hold and to have it deleted.
- You can request access to, or deletion of, your data at any time by emailing support@endpointtechnologyllc.com. We'll respond as required by applicable law. Note that your dhikr history lives on your device and in your private iCloud, so we cannot access or delete it for you; use Settings → Reset All Data in the app and your device's iCloud settings.
- Analytics and attribution data is held by our service providers (Google Firebase and AppsFlyer) and is retained according to their own retention policies, linked above. On request, we will pass deletion requests on to these providers where the data can be identified.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. This includes "sale" as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
